The month of טֵבֵת (Tevet)
Finding Hashem in our everyday life
William Wordsworth wrote, in the 19th century, that “the world is too much with us.” This has never been more true than right now. The world these days is at our fingertips at any time day or night. Our children are growing up bombarded by a neverending stream of images and sounds vying for their attention.
We strive, as educators, to teach our students to see past the noise and find meaning and purpose in their lives, to rise above the cacophony of TikTok and Fortnite and reach a deeper understanding of the world and their place in it. This month, we challenged our students to examine their lives for the plentiful signs that Hashem is always with them, in their everyday lives.
We challenged them to find within them and their surroundings the peace and clarity of mind that Hashem can bring. Please see our students’ contributions below!
