Middle School Social Studies Fair
Welcome to the Middle School Social Studies Fair of 2020!
Our overarching theme this year was communities! Communities come in many sizes, and we all belong to multiple communities. For that reason, each grade used the skills they learned in their Social Studies and ELA classes to present their best academic work in line with our theme.

6th Grade
Project: Research Paper and Presentation
For the presentation component of our fair, students built a google slides show, and practiced an informative presentation teaching about their chosen community.
To determine the winner, we scored each student at each phase of the project: Research, Writing, and Presentation.
7th Grade
Project: Argumentative Paper and Debate
For the presentation component of our fair, students teams debated each other in a formal, timed debate.
To determine the winner, we scored each student at each phase of the project: Research, Writing, and Presentation.
8th Grade
Project: Informative or Persuasive Speech
For the presentation component of our fair, students built a google slides show, and performed their speech in front of the class.
To determine the winner, we scored each student at each phase of the project: Research, Writing, and Presentation.
